It offers the natural color and tone unique to uncolored and untoned pearls, along with the free-spirited charm that only baroque pearls possess. The Current State of Akoya Pearls
The number of domestic Akoya pearl farmers has decreased by about 80% over the last 30 years. Since 2019, mass mortality of mother shells has further reduced production to around 12 tons per year. Meanwhile, demand continues to rise, especially in China, driving market prices up every year.
Our products are made using pearls that we have secured through long-standing relationships with farmers before market prices spiked. If we were to source pearls of the same quality today, we would not be able to offer them at this price. We only have as many as we currently have in stock.

Individual Differences in Pearls
We do not use coloring or toning processes to adjust the color, but rather embrace the natural hue and luster of Akoya pearls raised in Japanese waters. Because these colors are born from layers formed by the mollusk in the ocean, there are individual differences in color, shape, luster, and surface characteristics like tiny dimples or irregularities. Each baroque pearl has a unique outline, and no two are identical. The published photos are examples of the product.

Each item is inspected before shipment and delivered with a Bis・SPIRA jewelry case and an IRIS・SPIRA quality certificate. Shipping is free within Japan, including remote islands. In-stock items are shipped via Yamato Transport within 3 business days. We also offer free gift wrapping.

About the quality certificate
Every product is delivered with a quality certificate issued by IRIS・SPIRA. This individual certificate records the type, size, color, and processing status of your pearls and can be useful for future consultations regarding resizing or repairs.
Care and Maintenance
After wearing, please gently wipe with a soft cloth before storing. Simply removing sweat and oils helps the luster last longer. Please apply perfumes or hair sprays before putting on your pearls. Store in a place where they will not rub against other jewelry. Please feel free to contact us for any post-purchase concerns, such as re-stringing or clasp adjustments.

Shipping is free within Japan, including remote islands. In-stock items are shipped within 3 business days via Yamato Transport, and free gift wrapping is available.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 8 days of receipt for unused, unworn items (custom-made items, processed items, and pierced earrings are excluded for hygienic reasons). In the case of defective or incorrect items, we will cover the return shipping costs for the exchange. For returns due to customer preference, please cover the return shipping costs.
